How I Made an Extra $16,507.93 in 2021

This post may contain affiliate links. Feel free to view my disclosure here.

2021 seemed like a continuation of 2020 for some people. It was for me and in this case, that was a good thing. I was able to bring in an extra $16,507.93 with my side business and hustles. That’s the most that I’ve ever made. In 2020, I made $13,937.39. I increased that amount by over $2500! That was great. I’m looking forward to increasing the income, even more, this year.

Check out some of my other blog income reports

I create these yearly reports to compare and contrast the previous years. I like to see what’s working and what’s not. Let’s look at these numbers in detail.

eBay – $5719.26

For the 3rd year in a row, eBay is number 1 on the list. I still enjoy selling things on eBay so I figured that it would still be number one. The interesting thing is that my sales were a little lower in 2021 than they were in 2020. I’m not worried because the next section made up the deficit.

Below are a couple of posts that will help you with your eBay selling.

Other Platforms – $4867.63

Other platforms are next on the list. If you are new here, I sell on several sites, not just eBay. I sold at least one item on Craigslist, Bonanza, Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, and Offerup in 2021. Doing that allowed the sales to increase in this category. Combined with eBay, I made $10,586.89 in sales last year. As you can see, there is some real money to be made when it comes to flipping items. If you don’t sell on other platforms, you need to make sure that you are doing so. Sign up for the following platforms below.

Mercari

Poshmark

OfferUp

Sponsored Content – $3335.16

This category was number three on last year’s income report as well. In 2021, I made three times as much as I did in 2020. That’s some nice growth right there. I’m looking to continue this in 2022 as well.

Other – $1120.33

This section includes random things like surveys and more that I did to make money. I doubled my amount from 2020 so this is a win as well.

Products – $469.39

I increased the sales of my products in 2022. They include ebook and t-shirt sales. I have no idea where this amount will be on next year’s reports. Due to getting booted off Merch by Amazon, I haven’t created any new shirt designs. My designs and still on Teespring and Redbubble, but those sites don’t get the traffic that Merch did. Below are a couple of my products.

50 Brands That You Can Sell Online

This is an ebook that I wrote that features different brands that you can sell on multiple platforms.

Selling Sh*t on eBay Shirt

Affiliates – $379.90

I made $47.75 less in affiliates than I did in 2020. That’s not bad. I didn’t create a lot of content with affiliate links last year. Also, I didn’t promote my articles a lot last year either. That will change this year. I know that this category will increase in 2022.

Uber Eats – $353.44

Uber Eats had a few promos last summer. That’s the only reason that it’s on the list. I don’t have as much time to drive as I did a few years ago. I think it’s still a good side hustle though. If you are interested in doing Uber Eats, click the link here.

Ads – $262.82

Last on the list is my ad income. This one fell as well. That’s due to lower page views. Increasing them is one of my big goals for this year. It has to happen for this category to increase. If you are reading this post right now, you can help me out by sharing my blog posts with your family and friends. I’d really appreciate it.

2021 was a good year for me, business-wise.  Even though some categories were lower than they were in 2020, I was still able to increase my income. That’s a win right there. I plan to continue the growth this year. I know that it will happen.

Here are some resources that I use and things that could help you get started as well.
