12 of The Craziest Things Ever Sold on eBay
eBay, the digital marketplace known for its eclectic offerings, has seen its fair share of bizarre sales. The site never ceases to amaze with its boundary-pushing offerings, attracting a global audience hungry for the extraordinary, ranging from strange treasures to outright odd relics. In this article, we will go over some of the craziest things ever sold on eBay.
1. Vintage Boom Box
Vintage boomboxes are popular items on the market. While some people enjoy collecting them, others find them useful as props for movies or theatrical productions. Recently, one sold for $450, making it a highly profitable sale.
2. Dreadlocks
Next on the list are dreadlocks. This is arguably one of the most unusual items I’ve seen sold online. While I know that the hair industry can be lucrative, I was surprised to learn that people sell their dreads for over $200. I might consider growing out my hair to make some extra money.
3. Empty Toilet Paper Tissue Rolls
Toilet paper rolls sell pretty well on eBay. They’re often used for arts and crafts projects. A batch of 100 recently sold for $18. While that’s not a huge amount, it’s better than tossing them out. It might take some time to collect 100 rolls, but it could be worthwhile with patience.
4. Haunted Dolls
Haunted dolls are the next item on the list. One recently sold for $30. How the seller knows it’s haunted is a mystery to me. Did the door to their bedroom open or close on its own? Concerning the buyer, I have further inquiries. What makes you want such a thing in your house?
5. Cow Manure
Believe it or not, someone has purchased manure on eBay before. This is another item that has me thinking, what in the world? I wouldn’t attempt to sell Manure. The smell alone would have me gagging.
6. Vintage Board Games
Vintage board games are popular items on eBay, often fetching high prices due to their nostalgic appeal. Collectors and enthusiasts are willing to pay a premium for rare and well-preserved editions.
7. Old Cell Phones
Selling used cell phones can be lucrative since many consumers are looking for reasonably priced, useful gadgets or unique models to add to their collections. It’s an eco-friendly choice because dealers recycle these devices and help reduce electrical trash.
8. Dirt
Selling dirt has become a niche market, with buyers seeking it for gardening, landscaping, or even novelty purposes. Premium soil types or dirt from unique locations can fetch surprisingly high prices among enthusiasts and hobbyists.
9. Vintage Video Game Consoles
Some of my friends are gamers. PlayStation and X-Box are popular consoles, but classic Super Nintendos can sell for over $600.
10. Vintage Tampons
Vintage Tampons are another interesting item that sells on eBay. They can be used as props in movies. Recently, a pack of tampons from the 1980s sold for $24.
11. Gold Teeth
Gold teeth are not one size fits all. I’m shocked someone recently paid $400 for a top and bottom grill. It may not even be real gold.
12. Expired Camera Film
Expired film is another interesting item that sells on eBay. Some people still use older cameras, and even if the film is expired, it may still work. You can find all kinds of expired film listed on eBay.
