Top Items I Sell on eBay: eBay Best Sellers

What’s going on, everyone? I’ve been selling items on eBay for a  few years now. While some people do this full-time, I only sell things part-time at the moment. I’ve had months where I’ve made over $1000, then other months where I only made $300. Any extra money coming in is good. Today, I want to share with you some of my eBay best sellers.

I will start out with one of my favorite items. That would be sneakers. I’ve sold brands such as Nike and New Balance. The type of shoe that specifically sells the best for me is Air Jordan’s. Everybody wants to be a sneakerhead (A sneakerhead is a collector of sneakers) these days. I have sold several pairs of used Jordans during the past year. As long as they are legit and not counterfeit, somebody will buy them from you. Sometimes I clean them up; sometimes, I don’t. The most I’ve made on a pair of Jordans is $150.I also sold some Kobe Bryant’s for over $100. .

Another brand of shoes that has done very well for me is  Hoka One One. You may be asking what the heck is a Hoka One One. A few years ago, I was in the same boat. I saw people in some eBay Facebook groups selling the shoes. I started researching and saw that they were some pretty good sellers. I began to look for them at the thrift stores. It took a while, but I found my first pair. I don’t remember how much they sold for, but I know that they didn’t sit for long. Since then, I look for them every chance I get. I’ve been able to find them cheaply and sell them for as high as $120.

Jerseys are another item that sells well for me. I’ve sold NBA, soccer, and hockey jerseys. There are a lot of sports fans all over the world. As long as your jersey is in good condition and you have good pictures of it there is an 85% chance that it will sell. One of my earliest jersey sales was a Miami Heat D. Wade one. I purchased it for $3 at a Salvation Army store and sold it for $45. $42 profit is pretty damn good.

I usually find multiple jerseys each month in the thrift stores. Since some kind of sporting event is going on throughout the year, the jerseys will sell.

Bobbleheads are another one of my eBay best sellers. I’ve sold them anywhere from $15 – $100. People will pay more for better players or collector’s edition bobbleheads. The bobbleheads that sell the most for me are those of major league baseball players. I look for them every time I go to the thrift stores. The good thing about bobbleheads is that they are easy to ship too. In most cases, they are under 2  pounds.

Coffee Mugs

Coffee Mugs are the next item that typically sells well for me. They are usually very cheap at the thrift stores costing $0.50 – $2.00. I’ve sold them for $10 – $35.  Sports, collectibles, and Starbucks mugs sell the most for me. For years, I had been looking for Starbucks city mugs. Some of them have been known to sell for hundreds of dollars. I eventually found 6 Starbucks international city mugs. I was ecstatic. Check out a couple of pictures below. They sold about three weeks later.

Board Games

Another one of my eBay best sellers is board games. There are hundreds, probably thousands of board games out there. I typically look for vintage board games, games that I know will sell, or games that are brand new.

Vintage games are games that are 20 years old or older. There is a huge market out there. People buy them for several reasons. Some folks are collectors. People out there collect all kinds of different editions of board games. They will pay a good amount of money for them too.

After you sell items for a while, you start to get familiar with things that sell a lot. Certain board games fall into that category. Deluxe Scrabble and Cashflow are two games that I always purchase if I see them in the thrift store. I’m not sure why these games are popular, but they are.

Brand new games sell well too. I can get them for a great price, list them under retail, and still make a profit. I find new board games at least once a month.

Vintage Sweaters

Vintage sweaters are another item that I like to flip. Some of my favorite brands of vintage sweaters are Protege and Coogi. They have a distinct look. A lot of rappers used to wear these kinds of sweaters back in the 90s. They are fresh as hell. Honestly, I need to find one and add it to my personal collection.

Another one of my best eBay sellers is VCRs. Believe it or not, a lot of folks still use them. Certain brands sell for a higher amount than others. You may also have hit the jackpot if you have a VCR/DVD combo. They sell for a pretty penny too.

Blank VHS Tapes

The final item on today’s list is blank VHS tapes. I really don’t know why they sell so well, but I don’t ask questions. I just flip the items. There are all brands of blank tapes out there. I’ve noticed that Maxwell sells the best. If you see some of those in the thrift store or the yard sales, make sure you grab them.

Those were some of my eBay best sellers. I love finding these items in thrift stores because I know that they will sell sooner than later. If you see these items when you’re looking for things to flip, grab them. I’m sure that they will sell you as well. If you are looking for a list of items to sell on eBay, check these 45 items.

    1. They are very hard to find. I’ve been looking for them for nearly 2 years.

  4. I’m STILL trying to get over the fact that my mom and sister passed up a box of bobbleheads for ~$2 a piece. I couldn’t believe it! They would have gone for at least $10 a piece.

    1. That was easy money right there.

  5. I’m a reseller too. You’re missing some key info here. You didn’t make $42 profit on that item bc you had to pay a percentage and a flat fee to both eBay and PayPal.
Also the market is flooded w starbucks mugs. I found 4 on Sunday at GW and I was so excited! Then I saw how many were for sale (dozens) and the price they were getting(under$20). Yes some are rare and go for big bucks but not always.

  6. I hate mailing stuff, so I shy away from eBay sales, even though I know there’s good money in it.

I remember that once I found a new Carter’s baby cap at Goodwill. It was adorable and still had its tags on. It was 99 cents, so I got it and put it on eBay. It sold for more than $10. So weird.

    1. People buy almost anything online.

I had my own eBay store in high school. I used to buy small accessories and electronics on Aliexpress, then sell them at a slight markup. I’d make a $1 or $2 per order. I went to the post office almost everyday for two years.

And btw.. great idea finding and selling Starbucks mugs. Starbucks has a huge brand loyalty and I’ve noticed that their vintage stuff is hot right now.
