November 2020 Debt & Life Update

Here we are, it’s the last Friday in November. You know what that means… another month, another update.

For as fun as October was, November was the opposite. This month was cool, but I lost almost 2 weeks of it due to testing positive for COVID. Yep, I caught it. I had a mild case, but it still had me down a little. My main symptoms were fever and lack of energy. I’m taking this as a sign to sit my ass down and chill a little. I’m still going to live my life. I’m just going to wear my mask more. Also, if the bartender or server isn’t wearing a mask, I’m out.

My Audit

I currently have 113 posts that still need some kind of update. The number is getting lower. I’m hopeful that I can get this done by the end of December. It’s going to be close.

Job Situation

I started a new job on Monday. It’s not my dream job, but I’m working again. These last 8 months have been interesting. Getting fired, getting unemployment, growing the business. It was a crazy time. I’m happy to be getting a paycheck and benefits again. I’m also looking forward to using this money to help with this debt and to also invest in my business.

The resell business has been going well this month. I can tell you that it’s the fourth quarter. I expect my sales to continue to be great through December.

Below are five of my online sales from the month

I purchased this Omron Blood pressure monitor for $13.50. The item sold on Mercari for $59.

I purchased this Keurig for $7.50. It sold on Mercari for $27.

I was able to get this Saturn car radio for free. It sold on eBay for $35.

I purchased this Sega Menacer for $2.16. I sold it on eBay for $25.

I purchased this Spooky Town Fire Department for $5.50. It sold on eBay for $100.

My debt went from $54,815.11 to $53,858.05. That’s a drop of $957.06. Below are the details.

Car Note ⬇️ from $2546.45 to $2012.34

Earnest ⬇️ from $20,726.66 to $20,603.71

Nelnet ⬇️ from $31,542 to $31,242

I’m saving $28 per month on my private student loans and I received a lower interest rate when I refinanced with Earnest. Refinancing your student loans may help you as well.  If you’re approved for refinancing, you will also get a $200 bonus. Visit their site here today.

The numbers are going in the right direction. I’m going to try my hardest to be under $50K by January. Wish me luck. I have some things in the works that should get me there.

  1. Do you have a referral link? I may give Mercari a try to sell a few items and I want you to get the credit for referral because I had never heard of that marketplace until you blogged about it.

      1. This link did not work. Here is the message that I got.

Hmmm… can’t reach this pagemercair’s server IP address could not be found.
        Search the web for mercair

          1. Ok, copying & pasting worked! Also, I have to downloading the app to be able to use your referral link. I thought I could use it to sign up on my computer. I’ll let you know if/when I get the app! Thanks, again!
