My name is Tiffany Grant, and I run Money Talk With Tiff. I teach people about money and business, empowering them to take control of their finances and entrepreneurial dreams.

Money Talk With Tiff is a platform where I provide financial education, business insights, and practical tools to help individuals and small business owners achieve financial freedom. Through workshops, speaking engagements, blog posts, and podcasts, I aim to make money talk less intimidating and more actionable.

How long have you been operating your business?

I’ve been running Money Talk With Tiff for over 7 years now, and it’s been an incredible journey of growth and impact.

What inspired you to start your business?

I’ve always been passionate about personal finance and entrepreneurship. After seeing how many people struggled with managing money and starting businesses, I realized I could use my knowledge to make a difference. I wanted to create a space where people could learn without judgment.

It started with a blog. I began sharing tips and insights online, and as the audience grew, I expanded into counseling, speaking engagements, workshops, and, eventually, a podcast. I took small, consistent steps to build credibility and trust.

What were the initial challenges you faced?

One of the biggest challenges was building an audience from scratch. It took time to find my voice and niche. Additionally, balancing a full-time job while growing the business was tough, but I stayed disciplined and focused.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My day begins with a morning routine to set a positive tone—usually reading the Bible, praying, and reviewing my goals. After that, I focus on content creation, client meetings, and managing the back end of the business. I also set aside time for learning and keeping up with financial news and trends. The day concludes with quality time spent with my kids.

How do you manage and prioritize tasks?

I swear by time-blocking and using a priority matrix. I focus on tasks that align with my long-term goals and delegate or defer the rest.

What tools or systems do you use to run your business?

I use tools like Notion for project management, Canva for content creation, and QuickBooks for financial tracking. My podcast setup includes a good mic and Captivate to release episodes.

What was your initial investment?

My initial investment was minimal—just a domain name, hosting, and a few basic tools. Over time, I reinvested profits into better equipment and marketing.

How has your revenue grown over time?

Revenue has grown steadily as I diversified income streams. From ad revenue and sponsorships to paid workshops and consulting, I’ve built a sustainable model.

How do you manage cash flow and profitability?

I closely monitor expenses and ensure I maintain a healthy profit margin. Budgeting and forecasting are key, and I always set aside funds for taxes and emergencies.

What significant challenges have you encountered?

Scaling the business while maintaining quality was a challenge. I had to learn to delegate and trust others to help me grow.

I invested in systems and processes to streamline operations and hired help when needed. It was a mindset shift, but it paid off.

What lessons have you learned that you’d share with aspiring entrepreneurs?

Start small, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to pivot. Also, invest in yourself—whether it’s learning new skills or taking care of your mental health.

What are your short-term and long-term goals?

Short-term, I’m focused on expanding my podcast audience and building out more of the website. Long-term, I want to create a comprehensive financial education platform.

Are there any new projects or expansions on the horizon?

Yes! I’m working on a book and exploring partnerships to reach more people.

How do you plan to scale your business?

By automating processes, creating digital products, and collaborating with other experts in the field.

How do you balance work and personal life?

It’s all about boundaries. I schedule downtime just like I schedule work. Family and self-care are non-negotiables.

What motivates you to keep going?

The impact I see in people’s lives. Knowing I’m helping someone achieve financial freedom keeps me energized.

What advice would you give to someone starting out?

Start where you are with what you have. Don’t wait for perfection—just take the first step.

What do you wish you knew before starting your business?

That it’s okay to ask for help. You don’t have to do it all alone.

How can one stay resilient during tough times?

Focus on your “why” and lean on your support system. Tough times are temporary, but the lessons you learn are invaluable.

I like to shoot guns and used to train for competitions. It’s a hobby that taught me focus and precision.
