Personal Trainer

Do you work out? Are you in good shape? If so, you could train people on the side. Some folks need guidance or help when it comes to exercising. You can be that person to help them out. Whether it’s cardio or weights, you can show them the ropes and be the trainer that helps them get healthier.

Food Delivery Driver

If you don’t mind dealing with people and food, consider becoming a food delivery driver. You can apply to a restaurant like Pizza Hut, or you could try a service like Uber Eats or Doordash. With Uber Eats, you can make your schedule and work whenever you want. Depending on where you live, you could make good money.

Moving Service

Do you have a truck or a van? If so, you can start a weekend moving service. A lot of people need help moving things from time to time. They may not want to rent a U-Haul truck if they only need to move a few items, such as a couch or a medium-sized appliance. Why not be the person that can provide that service for them? You can promote your business venture on Facebook or Craigslist. Speaking of Craigslist, let’s move on to the next side hustle for single fathers.

Craigslist Odd Jobs

Craigslist has an odd jobs section on its website. The jobs in that section will vary from city to city. I’ve seen many things posted there, such as people looking for sign spinners, welders, or someone to help them move items. Log into Craigslist today and see what kind of side jobs they have.

Freelance Writer

If you like to write, consider freelance writing. I used to do some freelance writing a few years ago. It was an up-and-down side hustle for me, but a good amount of money could be made. The key is finding clients willing to pay you what you’re worth. That’s not always easy. If you find them, you can do well freelancing.

Upwork

Upwork is a website where people are looking to hire individuals for help with a particular job or project. There are writing jobs, graphic design gigs, and more. Upwork is free to sign up with. The way to become successful on Upwork is to apply to many jobs and ensure that your profile is always up to date. If you do a good job, you can get into a long-term business arrangement with someone you previously worked with.

Airbnb

Do you have an extra room or even a second house? If the answer is yes, you should look into Airbnb. Airbnb is a website where you can list your own home, spare room, guest house, etc., for rent. Depending on where you live, you could make a lot of money doing this.

Detail Cars

Detailing cars is next on the list of side hustles for single fathers. Sometimes, people prefer to avoid washing their cars themselves. They could be tired from a long workday, or they may not be in the mood to do it. Providing a vehicle detailing service would help those people out immensely. With this side hustle, you will always have customers, even in the winter.

Mechanic

Let’s stay on the topic of cars and move to the next side hustle. Being a mechanic is the next one on the list. A good, reasonably priced mechanic is very hard to find. Luckily, I have one. Everybody isn’t so lucky. They are forced to go to the dealership and overpay for services. If you know how to fix cars, you can save people a lot of money while making some extra cash for yourself.

Referee

If you’re a single father who likes sports and knows the rules, this next side hustle is for you. You can become a referee. There are many sports that you can choose to work in. Football, volleyball, and basketball are just a few of them. This side hustle can be done year-round because there is always some sporting event. I have a couple of friends who have refereed for years. They say that it’s easy for the most part.

eBay

This is one of my favorite side hustles. I love selling things on eBay. This side hustle is very easy to start. You can sell items that you already have or go to thrift stores to find some items. Below are a few posts that will help you with eBay and a link to my free thrifting challenge.

Facebook Marketplace

If you want to sell items but want to avoid the hassle of shipping them, then you can list them on Facebook Marketplace. If someone wants something you’re selling, you settle on a price and pick a place to meet. When choosing someplace to meet up, use your common sense. Only meet at your house if you have to); select a central location. I’ve met people at Walmart, Kroger, and the post office. Also, don’t do any transactions at night. Safety is essential.

Yard Work

Next up on the list of side hustles for single fathers is yard work. You could make a good bit of extra money with this. Cutting grass and trimming hedges takes time. Only some people want to do it. A lot of people hate doing yard work. Some people can’t do yard work due to their health or advanced age. This is where you come in. You can promote your service in your neighborhood. You can also tell your friends and family about your side hustle.

TV Mounting Service

If you are good at assembling things, you could start a TV mounting service on the side. Sometimes, people want to hang their TV up on the wall. It gives them more space and provides the room with a different look. They may need to learn the first step of getting that done. If you do the job correctly, you could get a lot of business from their family and friends.

Fiverr

Next up on the list of side hustles for single fathers is selling a service on Fiverr. Fiverr is a website where people advertise their services to potential buyers. Some services offered are graphic design work, t-shirt design, and writing. Fiverr is free to sign up for. You start off making $5 every time someone buys your service. After you sell a few, you can add upgrades and charge more.

Surveys

Completing surveys is one of the older side hustles out there. You will not get rich doing them, but you can make a couple hundred bucks each month. You have to put in the work. Below are a few survey sites that you should sign up with. You’ll be making money with them in no time.

Pet Sitter

If you like animals, then this next side hustle is for you. You can become a pet sitter or a dog walker. People go out of town for vacation and work all the time. They can’t always bring their pets with them. Taking the animal to the kennel could become expensive. They will look for a private pet sitter if they don’t want to do that. That could be you.

Check with a company like Rover.

Turo

Turo is called the Airbnb for cars. It’s a service where you can rent your car to others. If you have an extra vehicle or don’t drive yours that often, consider using this service. For more info about Turo, go here.

Create a Website

The following side hustle is to create a website. I want to stress that this side hustle isn’t the easiest. It also is only for some. It takes time to make money with a website, but it can happen if you focus and have a plan. I’ve been blogging for nine years. I’ve been doing it seriously for three years. I’m making some money from it. It’s not enough to quit my job, but I make more each year. Below are a few posts that will help you understand blogging and making money online better.
